Wendy loves working at Moonridge Academy.  She has served as the Admissions Director and now as the Executive Director.  Wendy went to school at Southern Utah University and earned a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Classical Acting.

Wendy has been working with youth for over fifteen years. She has worked in both the private and public sector. She started her career as a mentor at Moonridge Academy and then left to work in the public sector.  For almost a decade, Wendy worked at the Juvenile Justice Services in various areas including: Early Intervention, Detention, Secure Care, and School Based Outreach. Wendy was also the Field Training Coordinator for all JJS staff in Cedar City. Wendy trained staff in all areas of their jobs and was an Integrated Crisis Response trainer and suicide prevention trainer for over five years. Wendy is trained in DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Procedural Justice, CPR/First Aid, and Trauma Informed Care. Wendy returned to Moonridge Academy in 2018 to be our Admissions Director.  Wendy believes with her whole heart that a comprehensive, compassionate approach with families is the most effective way to help youth become their best selves.

Wendy was born in Seattle Washington and lived in seven different states growing up. She has four sisters and nine nieces and nephews.  She and her husband are the owners and directors of an Improvisational Comedy Theater. Most Friday evenings, you can find Wendy on stage having fun and making the audience laugh.
