Kate has a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southern Utah University. She studied Biology, Psychology, and Agriculture.  Kate has been a mentor, advocate and shift lead in residential treatment. During her time as a mentor, she truly loved helping the students in study hall with their homework. She also has a passion for science and loves creating a desire for students to learn and ask questions. Kate often fills in teaching math or science when a substitute is needed. 

Kate is a strong advocate for the growth mindset, and believes it is an important key to helping students be as they work with the horses. Kate enjoys teaching students about horsemanship. Kate loves animals, the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. She has some random hobbies ranging from canyoneering to swing dancing.
