Eme was born and raised in Lancaster, California. Growing up, she participated in many different sports including softball, wrestling, and golf, where she learned so much about working hard while having fun. She left home for Cedar City in pursuit of a nursing degree.
While attending Southern Utah University, Eme spearheaded campus and community initiatives to fight food insecurity and spent her summers working with youth in weekly summer camps. She graduated from SUU with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned her Registered Nurse licensure shortly after. After gaining nursing experience with adult surgery and trauma patients, Eme is excited to work again with youth and work towards keeping them safe and healthy.
When not working, Eme loves doing her little “grandma activities”(crochet, baking, crosswords, really anything you can imagine your grandmother doing) and spending time with her husband, Scott.
